Even when they are not a scholar, they get a lot of good opportunities in their university days. So unlike my time…haha… <br /><br />I did some research on the various scholarships. Found out that the President’s and PSC scholars need to compete again with the non scholars when they come back to the government and ministries for this management associates programme and also the administrative programme. <br />Both programmes are to groom these people for top positions in the civil service. Apparently, some PSC scholars do not make the mark after they come back but it is pretty rare.</p>

With AStar providing scholarship up to PhD, it is no wonder some of our brightest and most outstanding apply for other scholarship or sponsorship from parents. Though the students intake is a few points lower than school like RI and HCI, they often prove to be able to surprise on the upside.</p>

NYGH, SCGS, DHS, RI, Cat High, NJC Cut Off Point (COP) for PSLE 2009 will improve (or be raised) compared to last year, due to strong demand.<br /><br />2. DHS's DHIP is confirmed a success. So DHS may one day become a full fledged JC, (DJC?). They are celebrating the success of their pioneer batch student getting the President's Scholarship by having a holiday this Thursday!<br /><br />3. IP through PSLE will be the main route to the top JCs, and President's Scholars come from these established top JCs branding and vice versa bringing about virtuous cycle that keep them prestigious and top. <img src="https://forum.kiasuparents.com/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f604.png?v=f4f27f6278e" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji--smile" style="height:23px;width:auto;vertical-align:middle" title=":D" alt="😄" /><br /><br />4.
