<![CDATA[Daddy astronomer here, new member.]]>Hi everyone,

A new member here. Chance upon this site while doing a google search for “Top Primary Schools in Singapore + Top Secondary Schools in Singapore”. How kiasu is that?…hehehe. I am actually quite the opposite. Well atleast in the beginning when my dd started schooling. I use to be very relax about my kids studies. Things began to change when dd started going into P4 this year and PSLE looms near (I bought her a PSLE Maths revision book two weeks ago and planning to get the Science one this weekend…,tell me if I am doing this kiasu thing a bit too far…lol). So here I am, a green horn, learning how to be a kiasu parent for the sake of dd future success.

Yes I agree with the rest- KSP makes the originally less KS ones more KS! I was quite clueless and hence more bochap, but now, I've to check for info from KSP every now and then... (We, the parents of kids of Singapore, pledge ourselves to plan for our kids as soon as possible...)

Luckily, I've have refrained from sending my kids for any enrichment or tuitions so far but they still did pretty well. P2 @ avg 95% and P1 @ avg 90%. But, as I am very lazy but kancheong, I bought all the P1 - P6 creative writing assessment books (in EL & CL) at one go! :!:

Umm... if I say I have to spend the same amount of time monitoring him as he spends on actually studying or doing his assessments, would it still be counted as child abuse? Or can I claim abused-parent benefits from the gahmen?

Oh... so your son is like my ds2. Guess we have to make them more self-motivated and independent. But but but, maybe yours is the smart cookie, trying to keep the entertaining papa around? 😉
