<![CDATA[Any suggestions for family bonding time??]]>Hey there! Christy here! Quite new here, and I've been wanting to do something really unique for family bonding time during the weekends. Any suggestions for any kind of activities that my husband, two kids and I could do? Thanks for all your help! 🙂

Some things we have done this past year:
- Walk the treetops trail at MacRitchie
- Fly kites at Marina Barrage
- Forest Adventure at Bedok
- Visit the National Museum open houses
- Go for a walking tour of one of our heritage areas (Kg Glam, Joo Chiat etc)
- Take a walk along the Green Corridor armed with cameras (where the railway track used to be)
- Volunteer at an old folks home or childrens' home
- Visit Pulau Ubin / Sister Islands / Kusu Island
- Wake up super early and go to the fish wholesale market at pasir panjang
- walk alongside the kavadi carriers at the next Thaipusam festival (you'll have to wait a year, it was in Jan)

Doing exercise together can be fun and exciting! There are many family exercises on Youtube that your family can follow. We also do this so the children won't get bored while staying at home. This is the best time to be healthy as well. 😉

I created my own card game for bonding. It can stretch the minds of kids and adults alike while being fun.

Now that many are made to stay in, you can try playing this game I created. I've managed to train my kid using this game so that he can do better in PSLE, and be more creative. Good for adults too, as the difficulty level can be adjusted accordingly.

He chooses to play this game before other activities such as Lego based video games.

We bond through cooking and eating what they cook : )

Cooking at home more due to CoVid19.
It must be done without the presence of all their handphones though.

How about assembling jigsaw puzzles? It's a classic game but sometime oldies are goldies. You can of course buy them from the toy store, hobby store or even some stationary stores in Singapore; however, to make the family bonding time even more special, why don't you customise a special jigsaw puzzle for your family.

Maybe have everyone pick something they enjoy and then include the family in doing it. Try doing outdoors things that everyone can enjoy - the beach, hiking, camping, etc. You can also go to the movies together, bbq, - basically anything where you are spending time together and are able to talk is a good setting.

Every Sat day is volunteer day and night time is either movie night (either at cinema or at home) or board games.

Every Sun, we played sports as a family, which I dread this as I am not a sports person but no choice for the benefits of my DCs as they want to beat this mama. But as long as they enjoy it…is fine. DH will come to my rescue. After that, boys’ adventure at Changi Beach to pick creatures or at the park to catch insects or catch tadpoles or worms or lizard!..etc I dread Sunday…but seeing them play…make me happy.
