Just to share.. i kena chop carrot at one very famous prata shop..i think it is my fault..i didnt state clearly what i want..end up 6 of us ate close to RM60++ worth of prata and curry.. haizzz.. so for food ordering, please state very clearly what you want and how much qty..

Here’s some advice. I haven't been to Penang for 30 months (or thereabouts), but can still remember anything about it.
1. A good location to stay for history, food, and shopping would be UNESCO World Heritage Listed George Town.
2. There are apartments in that location. You should be able to find a number of options on Airbnb (less than US $100 per night for 4 pax).
3. Given that you aren’t driving, Grab is your best friend. Also, bring lots of RM. you are probably going to eat lots of street food and credit card ain’t much help.

Thanks! You've confirmed what I thought, more or less. I've actually found a nice Airbnb place in central Georgetown, but it's one of those that have a 50% cancellation charge, so I can't book yet. I'm waiting for one daughter's dates to be firm. Hope it won't be snapped up by then.
