Have you looked at Bras Basah? I passed by one of those shops yesterday and there were loads of past papers. I think there was a sign that said JC? Sorry, I didn't stop to look at what they actually had as I was heading elsewhere. Anyway, don't the teachers hand out a lot of practice papers? My daughter seems to get some, or have questions from other JCs included. She is already so busy with what she is given in school that I dare not even suggest getting more!

However the trend in recent year papers is that there are more thinking and uncommon questions too. A good example is 2014 paper 1 for thinking questions and 2015 Q3 for unguided questions.


Moreover it is also about speed, accuracy and ability to react when a student faced an uncommon question. The uncommon questions may not cost too many marks in exam, but sometimes all it takes is 1 question to shake the student’s confidence and the ability to stay calm.

That may be true, but I think it's actually pretty easy to spot some questions. There are some questions which are almost ALWAYS asked in exams and I feel that if students practise these frequently asked questions, and fully comprehend the concept, they would generally do ok. I was surfing the web and I came across this really informational blog post. Basically they decided to compile the frequently asked questions in A-Levels Maths and explain the key learning points and concepts behind them. Seems like they are planning to do quite a few questions so I would say keep an eye on the blog, it could be quite useful especially at this time. I doubt the teacher will risk his job and even jail to reveal the exam questions (even if his wife has access to the qns).

So the most he can do is give very vague hints, which is of limited use. Moreover, students in top ip JC do not even need such hints to be able to score well!
