14 Mar 2013 - This blue Honda Airwave simply refused to give way to an ambulance, despite the persistent sirens, lights and high beams. The ambulance had to force its way through on the left eventually.

过年开车火气别太大，南投市区就有发生行车纠纷，两位车主下车，把车停在马路中央，拿铝棒在大马路上大打出手，后方的救护车被挡住，就算鸣警笛，两位车主根本不管，居然继续打。

救护车飞快要将酒醉路倒伤患送到医院，不料前方路口两部小轿车挡在路中央，不打算让路，还有一名红衣男子手持铝棒，猛砸前方白色小轿车，小轿车驾驶也不示弱，也拿着铝棒回击，双方就在大马路上大打出手，而后方的救护车进退不得大声鸣笛，车上救护人员只好报警处理，整整一分钟过去双方才停手，让后面的救护车，能顺利通过，还好救护车上伤者没生命危险，不过警方也将从行车纪录器，追查两名因为打架挡救护车的车主，移送法办。

There are too many offenses under the RTA. Some can be compounded by just paying a fine but some cannot. For eg if you speed and get caught on camera. Within 20km/h, you get a warning letter from the Traffic Police. 20-40km/h, you can compound with a fine and demerit point. More than 40km/h, the judge would like to see you personally. 🙂

He can defend himself but as this being a strict liability offense, there is really nothing much he can say. My advice would be to keep it simple, something like - \"Your Honour, I am truly sorry for what I have done. I will not do it again. I have a mother, a wife, 4 children whom I need to feed, so please give me a lighter sentence.\"
