I remember once the mover tried to charge me for $100 for a Tv box to move my Tv. I was so appalled and shocked but he said that was the market rate. They came late for our move and have the cheek the charge us additional storage fee when they couldn’t move in time to our new condo! AVOID this kind of black merchant !


I had to store my items overnight with them and have them re deliver tomorrow morning, instead of MORNING , they come in the AFTERNOON the next day.

Just to add on to this thread. I have shifted twice with 101 movers- Albert, they’re 1 of the most cost-efficient companies at the point of time that I requested for quotes and they came back to be a couple of hundreds cheaper. Both times were full house-moving (altho the 1st move was only for 2 pax & the second move was for 2+2). I can say that their team was fast & efficient and mostly quite obliging.

I’m shifting again in Sept/ Oct this year but this time I’m trying another company - Smart Moving Services- Eric. I’ll update again on their work ethics & whatsnot once the move is completed.

I’m not using 101 Movers this time due to costing. As 101 charges same price irregardless if its full or half load (from 2nd truck-load onwards), and as the ctn boxes needs to be returned, that will be a problem for me as I’m only staying at the current place for 6-9 months while waiting for renovation to be completed for new place. So, I’ll not want to unpack most boxes of stuffs. Therefore, the cost of the ctn boxes as well as the load charges became a concern for me. Hopefulyl, Smart Moving Services will not disappoint me.

Didn't know there was this thread. I just moved house and was first time moving. Movers provided on that day were all Bangla. I was so horrified the way that moved my things. Luckily nothing was damaged. DH told me got movers who can pack your things for you. Told him I dare not trust this mover company judging from the way they move. Anyone has any contact for such movers? I will be moving house again next year and hope to be fuss free.

It's is quite difficult to avoid. Singaporean don't want do the tough job

I had stored my furnitures with SG Pro Movers 3 months back. They shifted my items back to my new house last 2 weeks and the furnitures are still in the same condition.
