i'm crazy over 鱼片米粉...by right, the milky soup is not caused by adding condensed milk. authentic cantonese zhi char will cook it with the milky taste using right kind of fish.

the quality of hor fun has dropped a lot...could be the lower quality of flour used. i don't remember the taste was like this when i was younger...well, at least hor fun didn't 'melt' back then when you heat up the next day.

After about 20 years, I still can't forget how pathetic a packet of chicken rice can be..Cut the chicken breastmeat into two (horizontally) then smashed and chopped! After that, slowly we start to buy at least half chicken with one packet of rice. I usually don't eat much rice. Eat more dish type. Now usually eat home cook food. We control the portion and definitely cleaner.

6 thinly cut pieces of breast meat on top of a packet of rice.
now we have to buy half a chicken or else my son won't feel full.
of course if not lazy, my steamed chicken and rice are of better quality with no MSG and salt.
