Once they get the concepts right they will be able to choose the correct MCQ answers

I am glad this happened to me. I have failed 7 subjected for my O level prelims. I took triple science+double maths and with an L1R5 of 40. My mum refused to sign my report card and told even ITE would reject me. As i was heading to destination fucked, I sat down and start to think like a examiner instead of a student. I m gonna summarize it into 2 points

1. Do the past year exam paper, forget about the assessment books. past year exam paper are more in sync with the syllabus and not other enrichment bull crap which give u more general knowledge but 0 added value in exam preparation.

2. Ask yourself what is the purpose of the exam. It is to test you on the things you should know which is from the textbook. When you answer a question, the answer must be some what linked back to the content of your textbook. This is also commonly known as the "key words". It
s basically the words in the summary page of the textbook.

It might not work for everyone but I managed to squeeze out B3 from the F9 and E8 for Science for my O
level in 1 week. Is B3 a fantastic result ? NO. Is it the fastest F to B? YES

Back to primary school science. One can do the past year exam paper if you want the fastest way to brush-up science. They might be too young to understand the purpose of the exam but if students are exposed to the common mistakes a typical P4 student make, i think it would shorten the learning curve by a lot.

I mean come on, Its primary school science ? this is not NASA exam. There are only so many keywords from the limited topic they can ask. I have guided 2 PRC students fresh from china to SG to take some entry exam to hong wen school in 12 days. The parents keep telling me " 12 days ? bu ke neng la (impossible)". Again, is pass a fantastic result ? NO. It it the fastest ? Hell yea!

Good luck!
