<![CDATA[Heads up - Our all new Kiasu Auctions!]]>We're in the final stages of completing our all new fully automated Kiasu Auctions. In fact, we will be running 3 \"trial\" Auctions next Monday, Wednesday and Friday just to get the community used to playing in these Auctions.


During the trial Auctions, there is no charge for bidding, and users will in fact be rewarded simply by bidding. The trial Auctions will feature KiasuPoints as prizes, so they provide a quick way for members to accumulate more KiasuPoints for the actual Auctions, which will feature lots of nice prizes such as iPad Minis, Amazon Kindles, e-dictionaries, magazine subscriptions, and other goodies.

Bidding is easy!

During the Auction, just ensure you have enough KiasuPoints to place a bid for the prize at the Current Bid Price. You must click on the \"Bid\" button before the bid timer count-downs to zero. When you do, you will be the bid leader, and bid timer resets to another 30 seconds and starts counting down again. If no one else outbids you during that time, you win! Otherwise, you will have to place another bid to try to secure the win.

Important notes:
1) Every bid you make costs 10 KiasuPoints, which will be removed immediately from your account if your bid is accepted. In the actual auctions, this is NOT refundable. In trial Auctions, the bid cost is refunded at the end of the Auctions.

2) Every successful bid will increment the Current Bid Price by 1KP. For your bid to be successful, you must have enough KiasuPoints in your account to cover both the Current Bid Price, and the bid cost.
Example:
If the Current Bid Price is 100KPs, you must have at least 110KPs in your account to make a successful bid. The Current Bid Price will then become 101KPs.

3) The Auction ends only when no one bids before the Bid timer expires.

How to compete with those with 5 digit point???

Hi Imami, unlike the old Auctions, a player with a low amount of KP$ can actually win if the people with lots of KP$ lose their concentration on the game. Let's say you have 2,000KP$, versus another player X with 20,000KP$. The current Bid price is 50KP$ with X holding pole position.

Before the timer runs out, you place a bid. The Bid price is now 51KP$, and you are now left with 1,990KP$. For the next 30 seconds, you hold pole position. If player X (or anyone else) does not put another bid, you win.

So it is a game of concentration and strategy, unlike the older Auction where the one with the highest amount of KP$ can simply put in a very high bid when starting and eliminate everyone else from the game.
