He is interest driven and being a HP fanatic (he has 3 homemade wands and knows all the spells), he has read all the books at least three times each. <br /><br />For a non HP fan,  i think book 1 - 3 are possibilities. A nonfan will not want to plough through the rest. Pls advice. Thx.<p></p></blockquote>Harry Potter I think would be very doable. Sherlock Holmes would be a lot more challenging if your son doesn't read a few years above his age level. You could try the hatchet series by Gary Paulsen or the Percy Jackson series. Hardy boys are good too. I can't remember more as my kids are older now. It is like watching a shaolin gongfu flick in words. He raced through the books. Available at NLB.</p>
