<![CDATA[Heavy menses]]>Hi,


I am worried that my menses is heavy for first few days follow withblood clot. Is it normal to have such problem during middle age. I have seen doctor and scanning which is everything is fine. Anyone encounters this problem.

Thank you . Yes I totally agree with you. I have seen a Gynea and her suggestions after doing some tests, is for me to take hormone pills, which is why I was thinking of TCM before I start on Hormone pills if possible.

I am 45 years old and experiencing prolonged and heavy menses. I am hoping to have alternative treatment before I took hormone pills or Mrina IUD. Any recomedation for TCM or acupuncture or other treatment?

If there are changes in menses pattern, you should consult a GP or Specialist. In some cases it could be hormones, in others it could be something more nasty like cysts etc.

no, she can't keep the baby and she lost a fallopian tube too. good news was she got pregnant again after a few months even with only one fallopian tube. so, all you need for peace of mind is to make that phone call, k?

my sil didn't know she was pregnant, she had brown discharge and she thought it was a light period. after a gynae scan, turned out she had an ectopic pregnancy. it could been more serious if she had ignored the signs and didn't see the doc till it was too late.

i'm not saying that could be it, but since you sensed something isn't right, i think seeing a doc and getting checked out, will give you a peace of mind.

should you be worried, my advice is to make an appointment with your gynae for an ultrasound scan and all will be known.
