If u have ever dismantled a Rubik’s cube in curiosity (or broken one accidentally with too much force like me), u will notice that the centre pieces are 6 fixed colours that are unmovable. See this broken one here:
https://postimg.cc/q6w2xsTk

So now you know that white will always be on that face. Yellow is always directly opposite white (in the official Rubik’s brand cube - others are imitations). And the other 4 colours are fixed in the 4 middle side pieces.

So the procedure is:

1. Do the white cross (top face) first.
2. Put the white corners in. Now you have the first layer (top) done.
3. Move on to the second (middle) layer: put the colours to their respective face. Now you have the upper 2 layers done.
4. Turn the cube over so that the yellow bottom is now on top. Note that yellow is always directly opposite the white face. Now do the yellow cross.
5. Put the yellow corners in. They may not be in the correct orientation yet but don’t worry.
6. Final step is to orientate the yellow corners to face the correct way.

zac's mum

Reply to - - Solving Cubes (Rubiks Magic Cube) CLUB - - on Tue, 16 Jul 2019 02:21:27 GMT

Mind sharing how to solve one for a beginner like me??

Janet32

Reply to - - Solving Cubes (Rubiks Magic Cube) CLUB - - on Mon, 15 Jul 2019 09:48:34 GMT

skii\" post_id=\"1917423\" time=\"1562207970\" user_id=\"82603:

I can solve the 3x3x3 under 2mins - although i hope to improve it to 30 seconds.

my method involves:
one face (then turn upside down)
one layer
2nds layer
t
and etc...
takes around 200 steps to complete which i memorized like when i was 19 years old (ages back)

can anyone kind person teach me the faster method?
my brain can't work as well as before thus, its very tough for me to visualise if the steps are too complex.
(I hope to learn and teach my 7 year old son or we can learn together)

Hi let me know if u have found a faster way?

I only learnt recently.
