Had another heart-attack today. Nearing school, I was going dead slow, even though there were no cars in front of me. Suddenly, this lady who was going the same direction as I was (back towards me) stepped out from the side-walk without looking back, into my path!!! :shock: :shock:


I jammed to a complete halt and sounded my horn. The lady took a glance and continued back on the footpath - like nothing had happened. There was an on-coming car by then and the driver would have witnessed it.

Yes, we have such people, young and old, just stepped off pavement without looking :slapshead:

Reminds me of the man at the traffic lights, waiting to cross the road - in the middle of the road! :slapshead: He should have just crossed. Made me nervous seeing him standing there waiting for the green man. :siao: Or maybe he had other ideas... :nailbite:

A few weekends ago, I was at the Pandan Valley junction waiting coz it was Red light for us. Thesuddenly the car in front went off...on red...think the driver was really daydreaming coz it was at least another 30 sec before it changed green in our favour. I stll have that clip on my pc...

Ha. I have seen this happening. One bodoh driver, dunno dreaming or foot spasm, suddenly drive off when the light is still red setting of a chain reaction, and a few other bodoh drivers blindly follow then one suddenly realise the light is still red and jam brake, only to realise the car is in the middle of the junction then, reverse light coming, then go off then the driver decided, might as well just go. haha.

Was at a slip road, moving forward slowly. Looking to my right, there was a traffic light for pedestrians. A bus was stopped there, and I glanced at the seconds counting down on the pedestrian green man - was 06 seconds. I edged out.


Suddenly, an MPV appeared from nowhere. Fortunately, I was slow and was able to move to the left lane (the MPV was on the middle lane) instead of to the outer lane which I was intending to approach (as I had to turn right after that).

My mind was racing as I thought I might have been negligent. The MPV was in front of me and the lady driver with long hair was fiddling with something at the passenger seat. It took me a while to realised what happened: she had beat the red light. Possibly being negligent. She could have banged into me, and she could have killed someone crossing the road.

This morning, there was an accident outside DC's school, and a couple of days ago, one outside DN's school. Heard that it hit some kids. Hope they are all right.

People are having a lot of things on their minds these days. :faint:

When on the roads, please, slow down, slow down...

Gosh, that is just ridiculous. First of all, cyclists are supposed to get off and push their bikes while crossing the road, and not ride across. Someone needs to educate him on the local traffic laws.

Ahh.…..saw this too. Did you see that the bus actually came from the right before it got on to the wrong side of the road? I was wondering too, that if it was turning from the right, it should have been on the slip road at the opposite direction, how come it landed on this side of the road - unless it was turning on the wrong lane so ended up on the opposite direction of the road.

Also, did you notice that there was a car which overshot the traffic lights after the bus passed, in the direction (on the right) where the bus came from?

P.S. Oooops, sorry, wrong video. :oops: Was watching another one…about the bus on the wrong lane.

I'd learnt to switch on my signal light when I want to move out, really slowly too. I mean if van/pickup on my right (so can't see on right side), and even if i'm moving off to left, i still on the right signal when inching forward, then pick up only when i have vision that there's no vehicle approaching. The idea is that if there should be vehicle approaching, if the driver sees my vehicle inching forward, and alerted by signal light, he/she should either slow down let me pass through, or sound his/her horn to alert me so that I'll stop and let him/her through.
