First version was implemented about 3 years ago I think. Gorilla glass 2 was released last year, and gorilla glass 3 this year.


It is said to be more crack resistant and scratch resistant than sapphire crystal.

There are some video on YouTube and Corning gorilla glass website showing the comparisons.

Is this unique to Note 3? were other older phones made of this too? Some years back one phone (not a smart phone then) got a scratch on the screen, despite being very careful. From then on, i got a screen protector for all my new phones leh... sometimes put inside pocket together with car key - though rare but am taking precaution just in case.
