That's why the 5L is too big - I can't fill it up enough.<p></p></blockquote>I used to have a Endo brand 1 litre thermal pot that I used to cook porridge before I bought Thermos shuttle chef (small).<br /><br />I find Endo brand not capable to cook well whereas the Thermos brand can, given the same amount of porridge to be cooked.<br /><br />I would not buy Endo or La Gourmet thermal pot as I find the thickness of the pot too thin compared to the bigger brands and not suitable for the kind of dishes I want to cook.  Maybe for cooking soft vegetables and thin slices of meat is ok. As the price difference between 7L and 5L thermal cooker isn't that great, I opted for a 7L one. I later found that you would need a substantial amount of food to continue to lock the heat in. With too little food in the thermal cooker, the heat is not maintained.
