It seems they are a family in need of help very urgently. And there are very different kind of people out there, simply because of the different experiences and circumstances they are in. And many a times, things that are obvious to us and foreign to others. And especially kids are so impressionable that could be the reason why the kids behaved in that manner to the police- because they were treated in the way before?

From the little that was reported, it is quite clear that she is not aware of the latest regulations for legal homeschooling, which is impossible if one had done the proper procedures. Moe is very strict with homeschooling now. A case like hers would have the exemption revoked right away.

Anyway i would think it is not really about education for her but living without accountability. Homeschooling is likely just a convenient excuse, much like the stray dogs and the need to rent landed property.

It's not my first choice for my family although we have done quite a bit, but I know some for whom homeschooling has worked well. School is not the only way to get an education. I doubt so.

Hope that moe will intervene in time, do something to help these 3 kids.
They had missed out 5 years of study. 5 years is a long time.
Pity the youngest son who had dropped out of p1.
Although he is physically aged 12, ie. supposed to sit for Psle this year, but his academic ability is that of a k2 kid, because he did not even complete primary 1.

Hope moe can step in, help this poor boy plus his siblings. :?: :imdrowning:
All 3 are pitiful.
