It is curable only if detected at early stages. I used to have a colleague who didn't go for check up and one unfortunate day he was in great pain and has to be hospitalised. That was the last time i saw him in school and also the last time he asked me for a small favour to prepare the his classroom for examination the next day. He eventually succumbed to the defective cells in his colons and passed on two weeks later.

There are various therapies that are used across the world to treat cancer, with chemotherapy being one of the most widely used methods. However, cancer can also be contained with help of proper diet. There are foods that strengthen your immune system and help you fight against the cancerous cells.

Yes I read that Oily Fish helps as fishes contain vitamin A which is very important to fight against cancer. Furthermore, oily fishes contain large amount of vitamin A in them.Carrots are again good source of vitamin A, and can be consumed to fight cancer.Drinking carrot juice on a regular basis helps a lot but avoid sugar in juices. I also heard that Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamin E and zinc. Zinc expedites the process of healing and can be used by the patients undergoing chemotherapy. Sunflower seeds along with oysters are rich sources of vitamin E and zinc. Milk should be avoided as it restricts absorption of zinc.
Some food should also be avoided.
