It teaches children that hitting is okay. No kid is born to ‘not listen’. Setting an example is important because kids learn from their parents and what is good for their parents must be good for them, is what they grow up believing. When a kid doesn’t listen there could be one or more of a number of reasons responsible for that. Your point ‘Listen to them’ is so right. Good advice.
