I get my readymade stuff from this co called Tungsan. They supply to hawkers islandwide. Outlets in Bedok and AMK (only been to outlets in these 2 places). I reckon they should have what you look for (and more).


A bit OT but my friends love the nasi lemak chilli. The chicken curry also nice.

Went over yesterday and pick up otak paste, nasi lemak chilli, shrimp paste, rojak shrimp paste....

Wonder if they taste good, with homemade taste. I dislike commercially made sauces as they are laden with high salt, sugar and MSG. Will definitely check it out this weekend.

Actually, I love to buy Har Cheong Gai from Bao Gong Fishhead Beehoon Cum Tze Cha Stall in Cementi West. They make the best Har Cheong Gai in Singapore, as far as I know. Many other eateries cannot deliver the same standard as the way Bao Gong does it. The chicken pieces are huge and fresh, and they are deep fried to perfection - crispy on the outside and succulent and soft on the inside. The prawn paste is fragrant and not fishy and overpowering like most other tze char do it. It is their signature dish.

What we usually do is when we want some satisfying fried chicken without having to deep fry them ourselves, we will order from Bao Gong as they do a lot of take-always for this particular dish. Forget about KFC whereby the fried chicken are all frozen and in pathetic pieces with hardly any flesh but batter!

Umm, I only been there once, it's in a shop within HDB block. a bit far away from central. From there it was quite easy to go to Pine garden (sorry, we drove there).

The bedok one also the same. Near to Bedok north ave 1, off PIE, not so near to Bedok mrt. I had some trouble locating the shop (also located in HDB block).

FYI. I feel that the Bedok shop seem to be bigger in terms of size (and maybe variety). so if that's any consolation.

Do note their opening hours - it's quite 'office hour'.
