Mine always from the kopi shop or food centre...my fav one is just 70 cents for the big cup!
Where to find the 70cts big cup of teh? The kopi shops I go to charge min 90cts big cup now leh. Think 70cts only gets me small cup.

Old Tea Hut is very popular. Some ppl prefer it to Fun Tea. But I find both about the same... prices also about the same... reasonable.

ya lor, cut quantity & price still going north! Worst of all, doesn't taste like a good cup of teh! And they are supposed to be an old brand name.

I feel that hawkers who've lost their passion for their food/drink can only count on traffic to survive. Once the crowd moves to another place, it's a matter of time they close shop.

Strong teh must have enough milk or else very 'siap'.


I always order teh lok (no water added kind) cos I like strong teh. It isn't 'siap' from my favourite stall at Funtea (this is the Tg pagar - Intl plaza branch, one young chinese guy, the other guy is a filipino but well trained to do the teh, so I don't mind if the filipino guy make my teh but the other Chinese guy is better). their teh is not 'siap'. Hence, I suspect it is the teh maker who don't know how to control the temp of teh.

My fav teh from a coffeeshop near my home once tried to switch to a cheaper brand of teh leaves (similar to indian teh kind). But it was a letdown. So, the tea leaves matters too.

I thought the problem lies in the blend of leaves. Most newer stalls do not know how to blend the tea leaves. Or they just use generic brands that we get from supermarkets.

More often than not, a cup of tea leaves a siap after taste that make me feel ill.

Think the evaporated or condensed milk also tasted different. Many don’t get the milk ratio right. Overdose or weak.
