It’s smaller than my wallet in size.<br /><br /><br />It was really useful. was able to stream video, photos, etc. from phone/tablet to the TV. Kids were happily enjoying watching 神雕侠侣 and 射雕英雄传 from youku streamed from my phone.<br /><br />My father was also happily using it to show the photos he took during his trips, to my mother. He even asked me to bring it along when visiting relatives, so he can show it off…<br /><br />Only later, when w bought those android box, then stopped using the screening box.</p>

But like what some of you have mentioned. It does not work with all applications. Youtube and internet ok. You can get MHL cables cheaply these days, because it is no longer supported by Samsung since Galaxy Note 5.  That's because they are trying to drive users to use wireless mirroring which is present on many modern LED TVs. So if you are thinking of showing off some of the educational apps you have, Chromecast may not be the best solution. It works well, but only for some compatible Android applications like Youtube and Netflix.  It does not mirror the whole phone or OS.  So developers have to write their applications with special support for Chromecast.<br /><br /><br />There’s also a newer 4k version of Chromecast that hit the market 6 weeks ago.  This one is very expensive, selling for like S$150.</p>
