<![CDATA[JC posting 2009]]>hi, my child is studying in an ip school, where he does not need to take o levels in sec 4. however, he wants to apply out of the school to get into a jc at the end of sec 4. how can i do so, if he does not have any o level certificate? do i have to go to the jc personally and if so, what are my chances of them accepting my child?

The maximum bonus points "earned" from any combination of the following is 4:

1 CCA (2 bonus points for A1&A2, 1 bonus point for B3 thru C6)
2 First Language & HMT (2 bonus points for A1 thry C6)
3 Third Language (MSP OR CSP OR BI - 2 bonus points for A1 thru c6)
4 Affliation (2 bonus points if joining JC from feeder school)

However, if you are taking up CLEP/MLEP in JC, you are given an additional 2 bonus points; only students in this category have a maximum of 6 bonus points.

I hope this will help to clarify the doubts we all have on what the max bonus points is. Details are available in the JAE booklet as well.

Most people with no HMT uses affiliation.

If go into IP school, then no need to be so ks liao, but if need to sit for โ€˜Oโ€™ levels, this group of parents will still be ks.
