Interestingly, Warren Buffet doesn't believe in diversification. Although that was what we learned in business school. I tend to lean towards market timing. Still waiting for entry point

I doubt they think of my interaction with dh as a skill.
More like a norm to them and they probably thought that is how all parents interact 😉 Although they complain occasionally their daddy is so biased towards mummy

I also 对她们撒娇 hor. No effect on dd2 at all. She has 公主病 as well so both of us go nowhere with each other. Worked all the times with dd1 though. She makes me coffee everyday :love:

As long as I consciously remind myself to spend within my means, I am confident that there will be some leftover at the end of the month.

I'm not brand conscious but ingredients conscious. Only use natural and organic products.


My moisturizer can last a couple of months. I have the habit of using a few types concurrently so it takes quite a while to empty 1 bottle of moisturizer. These are not high running cost

The higher running cost are toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo.
Can easily use up 1 litre of shower gel (double up as handwash) around 10 days to 2 weeks.
my body shop vitamin E eye cream can last for a long time.
white organia shampoo can last long time too, even though 4 of us are using the same shampoo, but I have another bottle of shampoo.
my sukin/renew toner is organic and the best part...worth buying.
when lifebuoy handwash is on promo ($2), I buy a few bottles.
don't use body lotion...weather too hot and humid.

I go by absolute amount. But translated into % it is about 70% into savings and investments and 30% expenses and indulgence.


Even for savings and investments it is split into liquid and long term. Each time liquid savings exceed a certain amount, I move the excess into investments or long term savings to earn that little bit more interest.

That's very organised!
I don't keep track. Whatever balance, after expenses, is savings. But no idea how much we actually save each month. I don't even have a rough figure in mind.
I am finance trained. Irony. Possibly the only accountant who didn't bother with book keeping :oops:

Me too..I find Funz's way very organized. I never keep track on mthly basis, but somehow I know how much we need every month and I will use that figure to estimate our yearly savings..and so far ok can tally. I like buying body oil as well. Rosehip oil, jojoba oil, marula oil, argan oil, etc etc. Plus another long list for body cream.

dd1 helped herself to my collection of skin care products. She uses witch hazel toner on her face and jojoba oil on her hair. Yesterday, she applied hydrating foam mask on her face because she noticed a couple of pimples on her nose. 孺子可教 😂

Hair...cut by hairstylist, but signed a package.
