MOE does not want the info on the oral pictures to be leaked out, so that it's fairer.

And as for the sleep thing, the S1 students would just have to be responsible and sleep early.

Plus, S1 pupils do not have to worry so much compared to S2 students, as they can get the oral over and done with.

So, I believe that there are pros and cons on both sides. I myself was an S1 student this year, and it's not that bad. You get to revise in school when you couldn't revise at home much because of sibling's noise.

yip33

Reply to Better and Fairer Scheduling for PSLE 2013 Oral Exams? on Tue, 20 Aug 2013 03:25:15 GMT

ProudOfMyKids:
on the topic of the psle chinese oral, anyone realized that in the lower primary sports carnival picture discussion, the wordings of the banner were in English? does this make sense at all? shouldn't the words be in chinese, ie words in English defeating the purpose of a chinese oral? It has to depend on luck. Some prefer S1 & others prefer S2. The reason of holding back S1 is due to both S1 & S2 are having the same topic. If MOE does not break the kids in S1 & S2, all kids will have to report at 7am. More kids will have longer waiting time. Unless S1 & S2 have different topics. This morning she went to school before 7am and the school only release them around 11 am, so it's not 3 h but 4 h in total. the reason of keeping the kids was such that the topic tested will not be leak out but second batch already long been there in the school hall, assembled by 9.30am so I just wonder why do the school has to keep the kids for another 1.5 h. Honestly, wonder any kids will be late for 1.5h for such major exam.

I always salute parent that speak up and look forward to a fairer examination process for the future kids taking their PSLE oral.

Suz855

Reply to Better and Fairer Scheduling for PSLE 2013 Oral Exams? on Thu, 15 Aug 2013 02:57:11 GMT

Musicstar:

Jennifer:
DD is in S1 today and S2 tomorrow.

Mine too.

mine too. same
S1 - Eng
S2 - MT
Are they all the same Eng today and MT tomorrow?
Not all the same.
