Some things taste better when they are faintly singed - or at least ice cream cones do, as Burnt Cones' founders Xavier Chng and Miles Thng tumbled to aleatorily during one particular eons-ago kitchen trial (hence the afflatus behind that seemingly cockamamie name for their dessert cafe chain). Opened 1 December 2020, Burnt Cones whomps up gelati/sorbets, buttermilk waffles, specialty coffees, even all-day breakfast platters (available though at selected outlets); we blew in on its flagship Sunset Way store seeking sugared succour, perhaps with a wee shot of caffeine.

Tried Turkish ice cream? We went last weekend at Donergy Turkish ice cream and I could say that this is one of the creamiest and thickest ice cream we have tried. They are also doing this prank of chasing your ice cream which I and my kids enjoy while watching.
