This is for DSA 2014 Thread which is already over in Q3 2014. There is a 2015 DSA Thread.

The credential looks good. Hearsay (but you pls do call the school to confirm) is all must 85 and above, but 98 percentile maybe attractive and also Olympiad.

But do not forget DSA application is after P6 CA1 and maybe SA1 (depend on school) so they will definitely look at P6 CA1 and SA1 (if available), so still got chance to and must maintain and improve.

No harm trying if your DS is agreeable and prepared to go through all the DSA tests and interview. No one is able to tell you if he is good enough as it will have to depend on the credentials and performance of other applicants in the same year.

May I add that for dsa there is no fixed number to be admitted. If there is not enuf candidates meeting the dsa criteria, the vacancies will be included in S1 posting. So you have to be really beyond your peers' standard

For those on WL, whether you are offered a place into that school will be known on 21 Nov. Only when not accepted by any of the dsa schools then you need to proceed to the S1 phase.

We are flying off on 25 Nov early morning. I am expecting PSLE to be out on 21st Nov iso 24th Nov. This is to allow children and parents to go for open houses on 22nd Nov. Alot of schools have open houses lined up on 22nd Nov.

Since we hv accepted the co, does it mean that it's the best time to go for holiday after getting the psle result? When exactly is the day that the child need to report to school ?

As we've younger kid sitting for SA2, we are leaving right after PSLE results. If there is no question about the child making it to express stream, then the place is more or less firmed. Last year's school reporting day is usually around 20th Dec. So long as you are back before that, it's good.

Personally, I would get ds's uniform before school reporting day so there is one less queue on the day itself.
