For the first question, my Chinese Laoshi have given my class 7 compositions this year. (Excluding the emails) I am from bu-hua. I would like to inform you that my school does not offer gao-hua. Maybe you can ask the school if your child can go to another school after school to take gao-hua lessons!

For the second question, my English Tchr encourages my class to write Discursive Writing instead of Narrative Writing. So, in terms of forcing us to write narrative, it would be only one. (My WA1) In terms of opportunity to write narrative, it would be two. (WA1 and EOY). Sorry, we've never had a practice for Narrative, but we have multiple practices for Discursive.

Hi! Sorry I couldn't reply before the deadline of submission of schools haha! I would say Girl Guides are quite decent. And the school only allow each student to input one choice. (That means they will 100% end up in the CCA they like) Unfortunately, there is no trial period before committing to the CCA. Don't worry though! There will be a day where your daughter can explore the booths set up by the CCAs and the performing arts CCA may have a performance if she is lucky enough!

For oversubscribed CCAs (E.g. Aeronautics Club), there will be a series of tests. After the tests, the seniors and teachers-in-charge will decide who will stay in the CCA. Those not accepted will choose a CCA to join that are not as popular. I think that Girl Guides is not oversubscribed so I'm confident your daughter will be able to enrol in it without much burden.

For Sports CCAs, there will be a selection trial. Like oversubscribed CCAs, the seniors and teachers-in-charge will decide who will enrol in the CCA. Those who are accepted will not participate in the CCA Posting Process.
