I am very different from you. I told DD, no matter must have a source of income. Even if hubby is willing and able to support, never ever be totally financially dependant on him. Need not be the full time slog till death fight tooth and nail for promo and increment kind of job but do something to keep and stay relevant. No point getting a degree, or a masters or a PhD if you do not stay relevant.

We went from only the basics to being able to afford additional property, holidays 2-3 times yearly etc

Nowadays we do not really need to think much if we want to spend on a holiday, branded items, spa packages, tonic etc.. Do not feel heart pain anymore..

Two friends took the SIA scholarship after flying a few years, and went on to pursue their degrees. Another one flew awhile after her degree to see the world.

I think last time can still jalan jalan when in foreign countries. I heard because of budget tightening, nowadays the time in foreign countries is shortened so can only have time to rest and then fly again.
