The fast draining battery is due to setting. Try this. Go to General, then go to Background App refresh. Disable the apps you don;t need background refresh.

Another area is the Notification Center. Go to Seting. Its one of the item there. Disable the irrelevant ones.

My battery life on iOS 6 was so much better. And the animation between the switching of apps is giving me dizziness.

I like the new colour of the keyboard and the control centre though. Makes everything so much easier.

For IOS 6, iphone or ipad/mini--- Double click the home button, a series of apps icons that you have used will appear at the bottom, touch n hold till the app icon wiggling, there'll be a \" - \" badge on every app icon, click that one by one to cancel... This save battery cos whatever apps you used before are in the standby mode at the back, consumed about 35% of your battery... Do this as often to conserve battery.

For IOS 7-- Double click the home button, many miniature pages of the apps that you used will appear, hold to it and swipe it upward one by one to cancel them.

This WILL NOT delete the app from your phone, it's just to take it down from the standby list when you are not in use, to conserve battery and free up the processor so that it can work faster.

Try it.....

Another way is to use four fingers to swip upwards.

I just realised that the google search on the top right corner is missing from my safari browser. Any idea what to do if I wanna search a word within a page?
Just type your search word into the bar at the top. You use the bar for URL as well as search now.

I am using 4S..... it slows down the phone. But some features are nice in iOS7. The photo albums can now be sorted by dates etc.

Thanks Headache2010! I have since upgraded to iOS 7 a few days ago. The speed is still acceptable, not to the extent that would annoy me.

Though I not necessarily like all the new features, at least it feels like a new phone with a new look. Very worthwhile already that I have been using more than 3 years, considering I always felt bored quickly with my previous phones and change annually.
