I'd prob start staring at all the other alert ones around me to make them feel guilty.  But so far, like I've said, I've met pleasant ones. Talk about arrogance!<br /><br /><br />On giving up seats, I find that is someone else asks it is more effective. Next time you see someone who needs a seat, ask one of the other passengers to give up their seat. They must have been talking about me for awhile and when I looked around, many were looking at me. <br /><br />I didn't know what to do then. Just squirming in my seat and feeling worse than before.</blockquote></blockquote>The society is becoming so cynical that we cannot even cut people some slack.   Is sitting in the MRT very critical to most people?   Honestly for me, it is not.  For me ,the most important is the draft of air flowing, the ventilation, so I prefer to stand at the joints between 2 carriages to enjoy some breeze.  <br /><br />Singapore is really so small....I think the maximum travelling in MRT can never be more than 1-1.5 hours straight through?     Can we not stand for 1-1.5hours for the fit and healthy? So she can only ask the commuters in the  1-2 seats near it. Luckily I only needed to take 4 stops.  <br /><br />We have also visited other countries where we get seats the minute we enter the train. Somehow we don't trigger the same sleepy response that we get in SG.<br />Maybe the pregnant ladies attitude can be better, but the bottom line is that graciousness is for all seats and all time. We should move on from waiting for the authorities to tell us what to do for every single thing. Priority seats - give up your seats. Other seats - no need to give up. <br />Whatever happened to compassion and empathy. And to think that he/she can actually post the incident on facebook with such nasty comments really show that he/she has neither - his/her sense of entitlement is really too great.
