There are some who had growth spurt and became extra tall / matured and they may not like the fact that they stand out so prominently. Some are highly sought after for netball / basketball even if no interest. <br /><br /><br />At the other end, also got some remain shorter while the others grow to average or taller. Those are the most 可怜 during puberty years when peer approval matters more to most teens.<br /><br />Average height quite happy (fewer troubles) I think.</p>

But since he is tall, you can get him into sports, it would definitely be a good athlete, put his height on advantage!</p>

For maximising height, you can give it throughout puberty. I feel more comfortable with the traditional way which is to give it as a soup, and for that, you can give once a month or every two weeks. It is a very heaty herb, so adjust accordingly to the body's reaction. Previously when dh had a concussion, I also made some for him as I was told it will help to clear any undetected blood clots. But I personally prefer to  give less than too much.<br /><br />(by the way, I think we are not so good at telling when boys start developing. Old aunties and grandmothers can tell better than us, like the way they can tell if a woman is pregnant or not by seeing subtle changes in the hips. I don't think she should grow anymore. <br /><br />Actually when I was in my teenage life, mum ever cooked some chinese herbs for me that it was supposed to cleanse our blood. So that those historical medical issues (eg. skin problems, old injury) can be healed. I used to have lots of 5cents and 10 cents on my hands and legs (due to mosquito bites in kampung). It was like scar. But that is no longer visible. Pimples was also alittle here and there ocassionally during teenage life. I add some to chicken soup and I feel warmer when I take it. However I think girls should definitely not take it before and during menstruation. Best to check with a sinseh!</p>
