桃花劫 involves usually getting raped or murdered.

红颜薄命 is more on a woman's life being 坎坷 that may lead to her taking her own life.

So much suffering around us but some people who are facing more minor misery may not know and they may think that their pains (real or perceived) are one of the greatest in the world.

This reminded me of an incident. One of my son's childcare teachers (also from foreign country) tried to borrow $60k from me. True story hor. 她一开口就六万新币，而且是一借了就马上飞回家 （因为她说要这笔钱救家乡的房子）。she said she really needed the money to \"save\" her house and when she is back in two weeks' time, she would return the money to me. I asked her since she could straighten her cash flow in two weeks time, why couldn't she wait for two weeks? She said the bank wouldn't wait and the money she would be returning to me would be money borrowed from her sister.

Eventually, I didn't lend her the money but her house was safe from the bank.

Therefore, we have a saying of 'God is fair' - that if one has some, he will lose some. But that's basically the essence of life that we always try to 取长补短, and that's the purpose of living, that we will strive to make good of the essential things that we are short.

Coz of more or less fixed constellation, we may have to learn to accept imperfection in our children (and also in ourselves) coz those imperfection maybe what is saving their / our lives (meaning if an 'ugly' star is in his 'Look' house, then a 'Clever' star maybe in his 'Career' house; if bads stars are in his 'Look' and 'Career' Houses, he may have a powerful star in his 'Spouse' house; something like this).

My old time friend jumped down from high floor recently...


Think at the end, she finally decided her life not worth living and ended it at aged 43.
