Some just walk past without realising it's a piece of high art (e.g. Dali's Homage to Newton at UOB Plaza or Henry Moore's Reclining Figure at OCBC Main). A few locals even stole art pieces from the Night Festival this year!

http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/art-pieces-still-missing-despite-online-appeal

Anyway, for all we know, the woman was the only one that day who truly appreciates the Kinetic Rain. It seems to me it was a premeditated \"performance\" cos she was wearing a sheer white dress. Is that how a departing passenger would normally wear to board the plane? Notice her facial expression when she was caressing those balls...so enchanted, so mesmerised...

jetsetter

Reply to Woman shown grabbing at Kinetic Rain installation at Changi on Sat, 09 Nov 2013 00:29:26 GMT

quite true...maybe locals don't really appreciate art that much, that's why we will not grab a souvenir to bring it home :siam:

janet88

Reply to Woman shown grabbing at Kinetic Rain installation at Changi on Fri, 08 Nov 2013 07:51:45 GMT

Funz:

janet_lee88:
[quote=\"sinoboy\"]

But do you think that locals are more kiasi?
