did he address the fact that why are there so many unsatisfied pple in this country....?

I think if you add up all the usual complainants on TOC, TRE, TRS, KSP, Asiaone Forum, HWZ, still less than 10,000 people.

Just a very vocal 10,000.

It's just that busy time of the year for me. Tons of course work to mark and classes to teach. Will be busy till next February. And no. I'm not happy not being online more often

Probably PM wants less negative commends to be posted online and viewed by the world. Our society is getting more and more negative and it could be contagious...

Various factors, I suppose, esp. with the recent hacking.

I don't think the user was rude. I thought he or she was very sharp. I wouldn't have noticed that chiefkiasu had chalked up m11180 posts if not for her. And she is right in saying that for someone to chalk up so many posts, one would have spent a lot of time online, especially the bulk of time is spent reading instead of posting. She is also right in saying that the posts will start to get defensive from there.

I think the users here need to lighten up. I understand that many of you have spent a lot of time in this forum and made 'friends' with each other but there is no need to bash another user just bcos she stated the facts, especially when she wasn't on the offensive mode.

It does sound offensive and rude to me. Her remarks were uncalled for and the last para was esp sarcastic. I'm not defending anybody but felt have to voice out cos her post really came on very strongly - too strongly in this forum. Maybe other forums are more suited for her.

Is it wrong to defend people that are dear to you when somebody attacked them?

I am not bashing the person. Did you read her posts from beginning? Do you think she wasn't offensive?

He merely looks at his FB comments (maybe Instagram too), and obtains regular online media analysis reports from his Chief of Govt Comms on vitriol that prevails on other radical sites such as TOC, TRS, TRE, Yahoo, hardwarezone, Alternative View, New Nation, SGAG, sammyboy, talkingcock, etc. Those are political / quasi-political / current affairs sites that cater to selected demographics aka lunatic fringe or keyboard warriors/political I.B.

Satisfied pp do go to the internet to read online mainstream news and peek at comments contributed by other helpful peeps or homebodies. How to avoid going to the internet if everyone now has a smart phone to scroll on the MRT?

Unhappy pp don't necessarily go to the internet. The non-IT savvy will approach other avenues to vent their frustration at MPS, taxi or kopitiams.

The \"non-unhappy\" pp will visit the internet to source for info and seek second opinion/advice/reviews, do research...e.g. Wiki, Google, Baidu; as well as forums like KSP, Singaporebrides, Singaporemotherhood, mummysg, which are moderate sites.
