My son has 241 + 2 bonus points for HMT.  Anyone know if he qualifies for the COP to apply? How is this school?  Is it very competitive and academic driven?</p>

The students (generally) seem well behaved as far as I can see (I live in the area so this is through my observations). I cannot comment on St Hilda’s though since I have not heard much of the school.<br /><br /><br />Anglican and Chung Cheng do not offer Tamil as a mother tongue so if you want him to not have to travel to a Tamil language center they’re both out. <br /><br />I would say to put SJI higher on your list: I have heard good reviews about the school from my friend’s bother who studies there. Although the school is quite far away, its not terribly far from Pasir Ris and it is a better school than both Dunman Sec and St Hilda’s (and has Tamil as a Mother tongue).</p>

There is no open house for St Hilda’s. But then I went to the school for a look around. Talked to a student and parent and admin person there and they shared a fairly straight forward picture. Dunman from what I’ve heard is more competitive… all depends on what kind of lifestyle you want your child to have.</p>
