My sister is 16 this year. Last year she had a simple birthday dinner with family. My mum let her choose the place and she decided to have Alaskan King Crab.

This year we were all busy and my mum & bro were overseas, so each of us gave her cash & asked her to bring her friends out for nice buffet and enjoy the day. My sis & her girlfriends really went havoc the whole day & enjoyed it alot.

2. Book vouchers? (Rather predictable but you can up the value and let her choose. She may have been eyeing something that is out of her pocket's reach.)
3. Movie vouchers? Book a whole movie theatre for her and her friends?
4. Does she enjoy DVDs and their extras? Can get her good DVD releases of the movies she loves.

1) The Vista Bistro with live band..playing oldies as well as ...Poker Face. Thought she might like that. But she might go :!: if she hears the feeble attempt at poker face. But here's the surprise for her: she'll be so thrilled if I secretly arranged for the band to sing her a birthday song.

2) Buffet lunch at Marriot cafe. Dad's not too keen as we're going on holiday soon. Too much bingeing.

3) Megazip adventure. She said she's lost her adventurous spirit and didn't wanna sweat on her birthday...tsk..tsk..tsk..coming from a girl who used to sail and likes cable-ski.

4) Studio photos. To capture the moment. But she says she doesnt wanna waste money on something she can do herself...that is, touching up photos.

Any ideas? We're totally :? and she said she's waiting for a surprise.
