As St Pat’s is full subject-based banding, his classmates are from all the streams (G1-G3). G3 is express, and most classmates are from G3. As there are fewer students doing subjects at G2 level, for academic subjects, they will combine 2-3 classes together. So far, he has not felt discrimminated or bullied in school and made friends with boys who are taking subjects at both G2 and G3 levels. N(A) class is certainly not what I had imagined it to be - I was biased. They might not be good academically but they can be still be well behaved.

Boys are notti. But school discipline is really good. Initially we had issues with miscommunication with school. I should say zero communication till my son got in trouble for bullying. He was verbally bullied till he retaliated.

So we arranged a meet up with school heads. So far it went well and now my son is generally ok with his class and the rest of the school.
Teachers don’t discriminate either.

So overall I’m glad I made this choice.

The principal shared that in 2021, the school will be implementing subject based banding. The sec one form classes will comprise express, n(a) and n(t) students. But the boys will go for science and math, and perhaps language classes based on their abilities;

2. my neighbour who teaches at a school near to St Pat’s recommends that i explore other options. She didn’t think the boys’ behaviour was that great.

However, my ds is very keen on St Pat’s as it’s a boy’s school and not far from our home… You can say i’m concerned.
