Wanting to buy a laser printer (print black only). Which brand is reliable? Also, is it recommendable to get the 3-in-1 type?

Anyone use Brother Laser printer before?

Brother LPs are good and the print is sharp - have used it before. Also more energy efficient as it uses LED print heads instead of standard laser. Also means less moving parts and not easily prone to breakage.

As to 3 in 1, depends on the software they provide to manage the scanning and printing. However a scanner feature helps when DC or the family has stuff to make a copy for the PC (save the earth!)

Also 3 in 1 may have wireless capability to share the printer among all the computers!
