Pri and Sec situational writing are different, there are a lot more rules, styles and formats to memorise for Sec. So I'd suggest picking one that's meant for Lower Sec to slowly introduce him/her to Sec situational writing. When he/she is more familiar with it, you can get the higher level books to better his/her communication skills.

Can recommend you to check out the following books:
- http://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/product/product_detail.jsp?vca001=298&vpd001=81433 (Longman Situational Writing for Lower Sec)
- http://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/product/product_detail.jsp?vca001=283&vpd001=98059 (Lower Secondary Situational Writing Handbook) (very straightforward style, easy to understand at first read but probably need other supplement to score well)

BrilliantBrains

Reply to English Paper 1 assessment/guide for Sec Students on Tue, 31 Dec 2013 15:45:08 GMT

Hi

Should I get de "O" level guide book for Eng or just Secondary 1?
Could’ve experience mum or dad pls share.

Thank you!

Warmest Regards
