oops... and being in FMSS probably helps as its affiliated to acjc, means in 'O's, the child will be able to get bonus 2 points off...? 🙂

actually besides affiliation, there are other ways to get the 2 bonus points to JC.- passing HMT, leadership/cca points.

And there are cases where students with 25x, 26x for PSLE getting double digit scores (as bad as 16) for Os. Just work hard and make the best of what the school can provide you.

I am curious to hear from a young person. So what should be a good gauge of how well a student will do in secondary school? To a large extent, I agree with u.

Lower sec is an ok gauge but I think upper sec will be more accurate. Esp for the sciences because in lower sec all 3 sciences are grouped tgt as 1 subject whereas in upper they are differentiated into 3 different subs.

I have asked around for comparison between Swiss Cottage vs Commonwealth, was told previous year that Commonwealth is more competitive but Swiss Cottage has a nurturing environment. Look at their similar COP this year. Back to the fact that FMSS has affiliation to ACJC, I didn't know about it, my DS had Swiss Cottage as one of his choices, didn't have FMSS, would have chosen FMSS if we had known the affiliation 🙂
