It is usually grown in malaysia and sold at the wet market using transparent plastic bag by kg.<br /><br />I usually mix 1:1 ratio with white rice. The physician in Ma Kuang told me it is actually better for my boy to eat porridge cooked with white rice and suggested to mix 1:1.<br /><br />I usu. soak the rice combo for an hour, then cook for 2 hours.  The porridge is very smooth.</p>

Add olive oil (1 tablespoon) … add in one or two slices of ginger.  You don’t need to soak the rice at all.   A SIA steward taught me that years ago… and he used to have an organic food cafe at Novena Square… don’t know where he has gone now.<br /><br /><br />Hope that helps.</p>
