The longest road trip for any of the day will be going from Florence to Toulouse. May stop the night around Provence.

Summer is real nice except when the heat wave comes. Gosh, there have been a few days when the temperature climbed up to 38 degrees. *HOT HOT HOT* The next heat wave is likely to come again next Monday... 😞

Thanks for the advice. Will definitely hold on to my kids tight if we go Italy. Still feeling rather unsafe to drive there from France. A group of friends lost their wallets and passports there. The whole thing happened so fast that they didn't know their stuffs were gone until much later. :shock:

Seems like you are visiting a number of places in one trip. How many days does it usually take you to visit so many places?

Annecy in summer is real nice - the cycling, the lakeside al fresco dining, the scenery, and food is not expensive like in Paris.

As for travelling in Italy, we drove from Swiss the last time - not much issue, BUT as always in any unfamiliar new place - exercise caution with abundance, hold on to the kids, and drive safely when on the road. Will be driving in Italy this December after playing snow in Chamonix and The 7 Laux.

Heard so much about Christmas Village - will go and visit this time when we end the trip in Paris.

I guess up north will be colder, much colder, than say Italy or southern France in December ....

For us, we're just about to begin our 'tours' in Europe, starting with a short getaway to Black Forest and Legoland soon.

I heard it's rather unsafe to travel in Italy. Any tips for a family with 2 young kiddos?

Ever been to Christmas Village yet? Heard from friends it's beautiful in December but freezing cold as temp can go as low as -30 degrees.

You must have known France or Europe pretty well. Chamonix is quite an unlikely vacation destination for most Singaporeans, right?

I saw the join date! But seems not much greetings hence I decided to do the \"welcome\" to add more colours!
As for \"post count\", actually not really, after a while it is quite exciting to read about newbies and their comments. Also sometimes the discussions got so slow or boring (for me lah) that I have no reason to post. Greeting newbie is quite \"shiok\"!
Actually I am quite doubtful about using post counts as a criteria to be accorded title of \"Grandmaster\". I thought perhaps the number of published articles or number of kudo points may be a better criteria.
I hope I won't reach 1000 points for a long long time yet. No more fun after that!
