Some used mystery shoppers. I once attended a survey done by a supermarket (survey co won't reveal identity of their client but after a few months I could see some changes to the supermarket advertisement and guess it was them).

Most old ladies are humble and prefer to live simple life despite how rich and successful their children are. DH is more kaypo and will pay attention to who's who in our neighbourhood and what they do.
To think of it, DH should plan a kidnap of one of our neighbour's mum. :evil: This old lady always kaki one of my immediate neighbours, coming over every other day and I can see them yakking away at our carpark. Her son also CEO of prominent co and good for us as we got to enjoy some benefit. Too late now as she has passed on after we moved house. 😉

jokes aside, I attended an anti-$ laundering course before lah...also cos I worked overseas, so i transferred funds a lot, so i roughly know the obstacles... For instance, the crooks can't carry >SGD30k out of SG...they either break down in batches, get proxies to carry multiple times, or just go open a \"cash-intensive\" biz like F&B outlet, laundromat, pub or travel agency to 'clean' the $2mil.

I think if the fools are smart enuff, opens an offshore bank ac here, they can deposit $ and remit to their overseas a/c in confidence...or just set up some shell coy and apply for a loan to launder...a gazillion methods...but they being epic fools, can't outsmart white-collar crime busters one lah...

another way is to split $2mil up into smaller amts we call 'smurfing', deposit into diff a/cs then apply bank overdraft to wash the ill-gotten proceeds, etc...

or, can go to competitor supermarket like FP or Taka to buy many shopping vouchers to swop the dirty $... :siam:
