Cedar's emphasis is not on producing a handful of top scorers but rather on the entire cohort to perform well.



This is the kind of school that I consider a Good School.
Overall focus on all its pupils in academic and building good character.

Hi just some food for thought:
These are the schools that get to recruit the top PSLE students to start off with. Statically they will help to produce good o level result for the school going forward too.

What will be significant as a gauge for a school will be, how many average PSLE student, producing excellence o level results under guidance of the school

i am a sec 4 student this year. i am wondering if it is possible to enter ACSI IBDP with my olevel results? if yes wld it be a great change from the olevels syllabus? and how high are the chances of me getting into acsi.(eg what results im expected to get)


p.s. in comparison , which schools offers a better ib programme?? hwa chong , acsi or others(pls specify)?
I think the 2015 COP for ACS(I) IB for L1R5 was 5 while SJI was 6 based on the O Level Results. Many students do take the O Level route before embarking on the IB Programme at these schools and they are able to cope and produce very good results internationally.

The international schools like SJI Int'l, ACS(Int'l) and Hwa Chong Int'l also offers the IB as well but the fees would be much higher.

Avg L1R5 9.2
About 70+ girls who scored raw 6 points. All these probably translate to 2 pointers because most of them get 4 bonus points.
About 27 girls with straight A1s in all subjects. (based on picture in school facebook). Of these about 2-3 are asean scholars. The rest are all Singaporeans.
Top cedarian is a Singaporean with 11 A1s in 1 sitting. (excluding MT taken last year).

Actually top schools including Cedar have ASEAN or China or India scholars so it won't be surprising to have them amongst the top scorers!

Doesn't matter, really. I will be over-the-moon if my ds can be an average student of such a premier school.
Anyway, cedarians & their parents aren't particular about whether their top pupil tops the national cohort or whatsoever. They have sportsmanship, haven't they?
