However, there are some schools which has very supportive principals who let P6 teachers skip non-core (except PE) and do them only after PSLE to keep them more fruitfully occupied.

Just been told by the school that there will be weekly Science "supplementary" lessons. It’s just a 1-hour lesson but we have a big issue with transport logistics. When usually she can reach home 1.30pm, to attend a 1.30-2.30pm lesson, she will reach home around 5.30pm only as there’s only 1 afternoon school bus leaving 4.30pm, another 1 hour to be spent on bus journey.

Realised that there are a lot of other other non-core subjects which take up a lot of lesson time…

Is this the norm in all primary schools? Thanks.
