As early childhood educators, we are trained to use books to counsel children in needs.

In our Children & Literacy module, we were taught how to select books to share with young children more abstract concept that a child may encounter but difficult to explain. Examples will be family structures - divorce, death of a parent, orphan, abuse, molest/rape within family, homosexuality etc.

Children at younger age usually will not know how to pick books and adults are responsible to choose books that are appropriate for them.

I am against NLB for the removal as it deprives people (like me) who may need such books to explain to children if necessary that people can be different among the 'norm' and we should respect such differences while sticking to our own belief.

Like it or not, give it a few short years before these Western powers start pushing same sex marriage as a \"basic human right\" and trying to add it into the UN Human Rights Charter.

Oh, and since some states in the US have started legalizing pot or marijuana, give it a few short years before a US pot industry springs up and the US starts pushing for the legalization of pot everywhere else under the guise of \"free trade\".
