I do think the ads and jokes are somewhat distasteful, but they are still within the bounds of decency, I feel. It's the death threats and abuse - those who indulge in that kind of behaviour reveal more about themselves (negatively) than their target.

Not when they over-react and use their power in such an extreme way. I really feel sorry for the wife and child, especially, since they are Singaporeans. It's as if when a son-in-law is rude and disrespectful, we drive out our daughter and grandson as well, despite his apology (whether or how sincere, at least he has made it publicly).
