I only have 3 pairs of jeans and no long pants.. Only wearing jeans if I'm going shopping the whole day or when I'm in winter countries.. Other days bermudas, skirts and dresses serve me well..

I dress to please myself. But I can safely say I have not given the public sore eyes with psychedelic cuts and colours. I know what works and can carry most clothes well so I don't need the clothes to carry me. :rotflmao:


I favour comfortable and practical clothes when I run around my neighbourhood. I dress more whimsically when on holiday. Dressing up is part of the fun. My gals are game to experiment when on holiday too. During the rest of the year they prefer their comfort clothes.

singaporeans are known to be sloppy dressers...we wear shorts out and don't bother to dress up unlike hongkongers, Japanese and Koreans.

I admit I am one. when I go to the supermarket or pick kids up after school.
no need to put on make up or wear a dress for such mundane stuff...but I do change out my home wear to something more presentable.

We wear sleepwear to bed for hygiene reasons. After waking up or before gg to bed, we need to change into home clothes i.e. tees and boxers. Yes, i.e. always hv 2 sets hanging in bathroom to interchange...


But for drinking kopi at nearby kopitiams or buying stuffs from convenience stores, must change from boxers to bermudas/sports shorts. Why? because we'll be sitting on public kopitiam's chairs. Cannot go home and sit on my sofa in those same shorts right? LOL.

If gg to medium-size mall in the heartlands, must wear better quality tops and bermudas/capris or casual dresses...cannot be those worn-out home clothes...hehe

My rule. Everyone needs to wash hands, wash feet, (ideally bathe!) change into home clothes the minute they reach home. Sofa I find it too tedious to wash the cover so I place a queen sized bedsheet over it. Easier to wash regularly. Only remove the bedsheet cover whenever there are guests visiting.
