Haha. My kids are chewers. They like to bite everything for edibles to non edibles!! So my best water bottles are those that are strong and even if they bite, it must be able to Tahan. Or it should have something that you can't easily bite on like those twist kind. It should also not leak and look pretty too. ๐Ÿ™‚

My kids are those that always bite their water bottle. Yeah. I had those nike ones too. They were popular at one time because can spray at other children at playground!!


But while they really love that bottle, they will also chew until the whole nozzle full of teethmarks and deformed. Or the rubber maid straw bottle chew until the hard plastic become flat.

But twist bottles also have their problems. They sometimes donโ€™t close tight. My neighbours (ang moh) bought these camelbaks from Australia. the bottle nozzle is rubber and can withstand the biting. Canโ€™t seem to find here though.

That's a cool looking bottle. But one question. If you put lemon juice inside, next day you put water, does it still \"smell\" lemony? Last time my dd bottle was a nike. Will keep all the smell of the previous drinks that were in.

So we don't use them anymore. I have a pink one still. Anyone still use nikes and wants it? (Bottles are used by my kids though and have her name on it, spout a little teethmarks etc)

My oldest dd uses her sigg but my younger dd we managed to buy klean kanteen. Between the two, I prefer klean kanteen. Paint doesn't peel and also spout is longer lasting and can withstand kids rough use. The only thing is the klean kanteen doesn't have so appealing design like the Siggs

I was afraid of that too. Plus plastic seem to smell a little. Like sometimes, if you put juice and then water, the juice smell remains for a while. So that tells me that there is possibly some absorption or something still sticks to it despite using bottle brush to scrub. My oldest dd uses her sigg but my younger dd we managed to buy klean kanteen. Between the two, I prefer klean kanteen. Agree. My dd uses a sigg and it had a cover also over the mouthpiece. She had for several years and it's all dented but it's a pink one but because of dents no one wants. So many times she lost, go lost and found can find back. Actually lost and found always have so many bottles. Nike, nalgene, thermos etc. so many expensive bottle. Parents must be so heart pain when kids lose them. But they should go lost and found check. I am sure school also throw away after school is over. So sayang!

As an addition to the previous post, here's a pretty comprehensive link to bottles that leach BPA-like chemicals with or without UVA exposure (even if the company labels the bottle as BPA-free). Note that Lock and Lock is guilty in both scenarios. Nalgene green bottles seem to be OK, but blue ones will leach if exposed to UVA.
